The IOPN PGDip and MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition are University of Portsmouth validated awards delivered by IOPN through an approved collaborative partnership.
The programmes are not currently SENr-accredited. This means completion of the IOPN PGDip or MSc does not provide automatic eligibility for SENr Graduate Registration.
However, SENr has confirmed to IOPN that IOPN graduates may be eligible to apply through SENr’s non-accredited course route, depending on their professional and academic background.
For dietitians, SENr has confirmed that holding either the IOPN Postgraduate Diploma or the IOPN MSc meets the qualification requirements to apply for Graduate Registration through the SENr non-accredited course route.
For non-dietitians, SENr has confirmed that applicants holding the IOPN MSc, together with a relevant undergraduate qualification, are eligible to apply through the SENr non-accredited course route.
For non-dietitians holding the IOPN Postgraduate Diploma, or the IOPN MSc without a relevant undergraduate qualification, do not meet the qualification requirements for SENr Graduate Registration.
All applications through the SENr non-accredited course route are assessed individually by SENr. Applicants are required to complete SENr’s competency framework mapping document and provide supporting evidence, which may include transcripts, certificates, module specifications, programme handbooks, and evidence from other relevant education, training and professional experience.
IOPN cannot guarantee the outcome of any SENr application, as registration decisions are made independently by SENr. However, where appropriate, IOPN can provide graduates with relevant programme documentation to support an individual application.
